We’ve developed a clear compass that guides us when building your sauna: At the core we follow proven designs and technologies of Classic Nordic Sauna design. This means we learn from those that have built traditional wooden saunas for generations.
The highlight of our saunas is the wood we use: Cedar wood grown in the middle of the Atlantic ocean on the Azores islands.
As passionate carpenters we are dedicated to build sweat temples that stand the test of time.

We are on the quest to build saunas that are beautiful and most importantly function amazingly. We honor the traditions of the motherlands of sauna and let classic Nordic Sauna guide us when designing and building our sweat temples.
CLASSIC NORDIC SAUNA DESIGN
The star of our saunas is the carefully selected Cedar wood. Grown on the Azores islands this wood is naturally resistant to the elements. Most importantly: We are in love with the fragrance of warm Cedar wood.

CEDAR & STEAM SIGNATURE SAUNAS
Introducing our Signature Saunas handmade to order by our team at the Cedar & Steam workshop in South Portugal. Our Signature Saunas are design recommendations. You can choose them as they are or reach out to us for your preferred dimensions. All saunas are custom made. We built both outdoor and indoor saunas.
Prices include a ready-to-use setup built at your location.
Heaters (electric or wood-fired) are excluded. We will recommend suitable models based on your needs. The foundation for the sauna depends on the circumstances of your land and is charged additionally.

Our most compact model ideal for frequent users and limited spaces. This sauna is designed to heat up quickly powered with an electric heater. Seats up to 3 people comfortably.

Designed with classic L-shaped bench design this sauna is ideal for regular use with two people. This sauna comfortably provides space for 4 to 6 people and can be powered with wood or electric heaters.
The TILAVA PLUS is extended by a sheltered entry space in front of the entrance. The side walls and the roof are extended creating a protected deck area.

Generous design for added comfort. Two people can lie down on the top bench while the sauna comfortably accommodates 6 to 8 people. Ideal for wood-fired saunas.
